Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
Over the past 20 years, we have sent almost 1000 people to the Leon, Nicaragua area, including students, clergy, doctors, teachers, social workers, engineers, archcitects, and artists. As a result, we have developed an excellent reputation in both New Haven, CT and Leon for providinga true cross-cultural experience We work with two rural, agricultural communities outside of Leon, Nicaragua with extremely high poverty rates and very little access to health care. We are currently looking for trained medical professionals who would like to volunteer their time and expertise to working directly with these communities. There is no program duration requirement and we will provide translation services if necessary, as well as transportation services in Nicaragua.
